I personally have been feeding and recommending these products for over 10 years. They only use high-quality products; every effort is made to source ingredients from the US for their dietary supplements. Pet foods, treats and pet care products.
Foremost is their commitment to quality and safety. All other factors, including price and country of origin, come later. The majority of their ingredients are sourced domestically. However, there are a few ingredients (for example, monk fruit, taurine and pomegranate extract) that are sourced from Asian countries. Including India and China. Rest assure, they only use a handful of trusted U.S. suppliers who from time to time import a small minority of items.
They have NEVER had any of their products recalled since they opened in 1999.
They have strict guidelines and quality control on how the product is shipped from the manufacturer to the warehouse. It continues with how much inventory they keep on hand, as well as continually improving the delivery time from their warehouse to the customer. I am impressed with their protocol and systems to ensure the highest quality products. LA dry foods are produced in limited runs on a frequent basis, minimizing periods of storage, helping to deliver the freshet- possible product right to the customer's door. Generally, within four to six weeks of being made.
The food is very affordable and your pets are worth any difference in cost there might be. Americans spend more than that on their Starbuck's coffee every morning!!! You feed less dog food, but they receive more nutrition. They are able to digest and utilize the dog food more which means smaller stools. And you are ensuring a long and healthy life for your pet when you feed them quality.
A little about the formulator, Dr. Jane Bicks who has since retired from Life’s Abundance in 2019. Quality Practices and Standards
Let’s face it — there are many high-quality premium pet foods on the market, but most of them, have had their products recalled because of contamination of their products. Some are cheaper than Life’s Abundance and some are more expensive.
I know several breeders both dog and cat who have been using Life’s Abundance products for years. Most of them will not sell or guarantee the health of one of their puppies if the family chooses not continue with Life’s Abundance pet food products. Wow, now that’s really believing in your products!
Listening to Dr. Jane Bicks and her passion for healthy pets and providing quality products is very inspirational. It also brings up so many questions for us as breeders. If a family chooses to feed a dog food that does not have the quality of nutrition or reputation that Life’s Abundance provides in the long run, does it save them money? If they choose not to use a dog food we recommend after we have done tremendous research within the industry, should we have any guarantee at all on the health of the puppy?
The brand you feed is the most important decision you can make as a pet parent. Your dog eats the same food every day, it’s his primary source of nutrition. A superior dog food can help to foster a solid nutritional foundation, which can help sustain your dog over a long and healthy lifetime.
As a caring pet parent, it’s important that you see through marketing ploys designed to mislead you about the quality of ingredients and their intended dietary benefits.
Additionally, some competing brands use wheat and wheat glutens, corn and corn glutens, as well as artificial food colors and preservatives. We never have, and we never will. That’s part of our commitment to you and your dog to provide the safest and most innovative nutritional formulas for a better life.
